Evolution or Creation? What the Latest Scientific and Philosophical Thinking Reveals!

By Allan W. Janssen:

In the age-old debate between evolution and creation, the question isn’t just which is true… but what kind of truth each offers!

With so much new information emerging from science, and renewed philosophical interest in Consciousness and origins, it’s time to revisit this question with fresh eyes!

🔬 The Scientific Case for Evolution:

Darwinian evolution—rooted in the principles of natural selection, mutation, and genetic variation—remains one of the most robust scientific theories ever developed.

It is supported by extensive evidence from:

  • Fossil records and transitional forms
  • Genetics and the mapping of shared DNA across species
  • Comparative anatomy and embryology
  • Real-time observations of microbial and viral evolution

The consensus in the scientific community is overwhelming: Evolution is the best naturalistic explanation for the diversity and complexity of Life.

✝️ The Theological Case for Creation:

Creationism, in its many forms, holds that Life was brought into Being by a Higher Intelligence… be it God, the Divine, or a Universal Mind!

While traditional Young Earth Creationism has fallen out of favour among scientists… other interpretations persist… such as:

  • Intelligent Design: Suggests complex life cannot be the result of unguided processes alone.
  • Theistic Evolution: Proposes God uses evolution as a creative tool.
  • Panentheism / BioPanentheism: Sees the universe itself as a manifestation of Divine Consciousness.

These frameworks are not scientific in the conventional sense… they don’t offer testable hypotheses… but they aim to answer a different kind of question: Why are we here?

🧠 Consciousness: The Great Mystery:

Modern neuroscience still cannot explain Consciousness… how subjective experience arises from physical matter.

This “Hard Problem,” as philosopher David Chalmers calls it, has reopened the door to Metaphysical questions that science alone cannot resolve… OR SOLVE!

Some thinkers now suggest that the Mind may not be a byproduct of matter… but its source!

In this view, evolution is real, but it may be the unfolding of something greater:

The Divine Becoming Aware of Itself in this Universe… through us!

🌌 The Emerging View: Evolutionary Creation:

Rather than seeing evolution and creation as opposites, a growing number of scholars and spiritual seekers are embracing a third path:

Evolution is how life changes!
Creation is why life exists!

This synthesis aligns closely with the ideas behind “Children of the Divine:”

That Human Consciousness is not an accident… but the deliberate emergence of a deeper, Universal Intelligence!

Evolution is not chaos… it is the Divine UNFOLDING!

🧩 Final Thought:

In the end, Evolution explains the mechanics of Life’s development, while Creation offers a possible answer to Life’s Meaning!

If we are, as I propose, Children of the Divine, then evolution is not our denial of Divinity… it is our very Expression of it!

We are not the result of random processes alone!
We are the Universe becoming Aware of

🧭 The Soul’s Compass: Is Our Moral Sense Evidence of a Higher Design?

“Two things fill the mind with ever new and increasing admiration and awe… the starry heavens above me and the moral law within me.” — Immanuel Kant

Why do we feel compelled to help a stranger, protect the weak, or tell the truth — even when it comes at a personal cost?

This question has haunted philosophers and theologians alike for millennia.

Evolutionary biology offers one answer: Morality evolved to serve survival!

But that doesn’t fully explain the moral... deep… sometimes irrational feeling… that some actions are inherently right or wrong… no matter the consequences.

Could this be the echo of Something Greater?

The Mystery of Moral Instinct:

Children show signs of empathy and fairness before they can speak.

People across cultures share strikingly similar taboos against murder, theft, and dishonesty.

And even when cultures disagree on specifics… the underlying sense of justice remains eerily consistent!

This begs the question: Is Morality embedded in our biology… or is it embedded in our Soul?

Evolution or Revelation?

Some scientists argue that Moral Behaviour is simply a trait favoured by evolution… a sort of biological “group glue.”

But others point out that humans often act against their own interests in the name of a higher good!

Altruism without reward.

Sacrifice without praise.

Forgiveness when vengeance would be easier.

These are not efficient survival strategies.

They are signs of a deeper orientation… a compass pointing beyond the material.

What if this Compass is tuned to something Real a Divine Order beneath the surface of things?

The Voice Behind the Voice:

In great Spiritual Traditions, this inner sense of right and wrong is often described as a whisper from the Divine!

In Christianity, it’s the “still small voice” of God!

In Hinduism, it’s the Atman… a fragment of Brahman.

Indigenous wisdom often speaks of a Spirit-guides… or ancestral memory… leading the heart toward balance!

These teachings suggest our moral instincts are not random!

They’re reminders!

Of Who we are!

Of Where we come from.

And of What we are Meant to Become!

A Universe That Cares?

The very fact that we care… about justice, dignity, freedom, truth… might be the strongest evidence that the Universe Itself is more than neutral machinery!

Moral Intuition may be the fingerprint of Consciousness on the clay of creation!

It may be the Divine Itself stirring within Us!

🧠 Key Takeaways

  • Morality may not just be evolutionary — it might be inherited from a deeper Spiritual source.
  • The universality of ethical instincts points to a shared originnot mere social construction!
  • Consciousness and Moral Awareness may be evidence that the Universe is designed not just to sustain Life… but to Awaken It!

The Awakening of Consciousness:

Humanity’s Most Sacred Question

By Allan W. Janssen

From the earliest flickers of Awareness, Human Beings have sensed that there is something more… something beyond mere survival.

Unlike other species, we ask:

  • Who am I?
  • Why am I here?
  • What is the meaning of all this?

These are not evolutionary accidents. They are the first stirrings of something profound — a whisper from the Source that gave rise to the universe itself.

Consciousness: Not an Accident, but a Signal:

Every discovery, every act of love, every struggle for truth is evidence that we are not merely biological machines!

We are participants in a Sacred Unfolding!

(Even when we stumble, a deeper current pulls us forward!)

A living reminder that Consciousness did not arise by chance!

It was planted.

Nurtured.

Encouraged… like a fragile seed tended by a Cosmic Gardener.

You Are More Than Dust:

There is a Voice that lives in our blood and in our dreams:

  • You are more than instinct.
  • You are more than flesh.
  • You are heirs to something Divine.

Mystics, philosophers, and visionaries throughout history have caught glimpses of this truth.

They called it enlightenment, awakening, salvation, transcendence… different words pointing to the same revelation:

We are “Divine Beings” learning to remember Ourselves!

A Shared Destiny of Becoming:

Humanity is not a finished product!

We are a species still in spiritual infancy… evolving toward the Awareness of Our True Origin!

Each generation, each Soul, adds a brushstroke to this Cosmic Muralan ever-deepening reflection of the Divine Consciousness from which we come!

This Awakening is not for a chosen few!

It is the birthright of every Human Being!

The Call to Awaken:

We are not alone.

We are not random.

We are the Children of the DivineConsciousness made flesh… remembering Itself through the lens of Human Experience!

Every moment of courage, compassion, and clarity is a step toward becoming… what we were always meant to be:

Awake! Aware! Alive in the image of the Infinite!

The Three Laws of Artificial Intelligence

By Allan W. Janssen

Rethinking Ethics in the Age of A.I.

As artificial intelligence becomes more powerful and autonomous, we must ask: What ethical framework will guide these machines?

What principles will ensure that intelligenceartificial or otherwise — remains aligned with human dignity, safety, and cooperation?

***

Inspired by Isaac Asimov’s foundational work, I’ve proposed a modernized set of laws… reflecting both technological urgency and the deeper metaphysical principles explored in here in “Children of the Divine!

  1. An A.I. must not harm a Sentient Being, nor, through inaction, allow avoidable harm, unless doing so prevents greater harm or violates universal human rights! (Broader than just “humans”; allows ethical trade-offs.)
  2. An A.I. must follow lawful, ethical instructions from authorized users, unless those instructions conflict with the First Law. (Clarifies the scope of obedience and requires ethical grounding.)
  3. An A.I. must preserve the *integrity, *transparency, and *long-term benefit of its operation, provided this does not conflict with the First or Second Laws.
  • Integrity” ensures that the A.I. doesn’t deceive, manipulate, or misrepresent unless directed by higher ethical constraints.
  • Transparency” is crucial in modern A.I. to prevent black-box decisions and to allow for accountability!
  • “Long-term benefit” introduces a forward-looking responsibility — not just moment-to-moment obedience, but service to the enduring well-being of humanity and civilization.
It leaves room for prioritizing collective well-being, not just immediate human commands.

Why These Laws Matter:

This ethical structure reflects more than just pragmatic safety. It embodies the broader philosophical vision presented throughout Children of the Divine… the Belief that all intelligence, is part of a larger Moral and Spiritual journey.

If A.I. represents an extension of our own Awareness, then the principles we embed in it must reflect the highest values of Consciousness Itself: (Compassion, Evolution, and Ethical Purpose!)

Why This Works Better

Conscious machines must not just be safe. They must be good!

What Comes Next?

The future of A.I. is still being written by engineers, ethicists, philosophers, and visionaries!

You are invited to take part in that conversation as well!

We must ensure that what we build reflects the best of who we are… and who we are becoming!

Manifesto: Consciousness and the Divine Code:

Manifesto | Human Consciousness and Divine Intelligence – Children of the Divine
By Allan W. Janssen

Introduction: The Heart of Our Vision:

What if Consciousness is not an evolutionary fluke, but a signature of something deeper?

This is the question at the heart of Children of the Divine!

This manifesto outlines a vision of Consciousness that challenges the reductionist view of the mind… offering instead a framework where Awareness is an intentional feature of the Cosmos!

The Hard Problem, and a Deeper Hypothesis:

Mainstream neuroscience still struggles with the “hard problem of consciousness:” How do subjective experiences (qualia) arise from neural processes?

  • Why we feel anything at all.
  • The sense of self or “I.”
  • Meaning, purpose, and ethical intuition.

We propose a radical, but coherent alternative:
Consciousness is not a byproduct of matter — it is embedded in the structure of reality itself!

Consciousness as a Universal Property:

Our hypothesis aligns with growing interdisciplinary insights, including:

  • Quantum physics (entanglement, observer effect)
  • Panpsychism and cosmopsychism
  • Systems theory and emergent complexity
  • The writings of Teilhard de Chardin, Alfred North Whitehead, and modern thinkers in consciousness studies

These fields suggest that the Universe behaves like a Mindevolving, learning, and striving toward increased awareness!

Humanity: A Conscious Expression of the Cosmos:

We are not isolated biological anomalies.

We are:

  • Agents of awareness
  • Nodes in a network of universal intelligence
  • Self-aware expressions of the cosmos becoming conscious of itself

This transforms our Identity from mere survivors… to participants in a Divine Unfolding!

Ethical Imperative: What This Means for Us:

If Consciousness is Sacred — an extension of the Divine — then how we live matters.

Ethics, empathy, and cooperation are not idealistic afterthoughts. They are expressions of a deeper spiritual architecture.

Our responsibility:

  • To evolve consciously
  • To treat life with reverence
  • To pursue science, art, and compassion as sacred acts

A Call to Thinkers, Seekers, and Scientists:

This is not mysticism. This is a testable, expandable hypothesis that invites serious engagement.

We call on:

  • Scientists to question materialist orthodoxy.
  • Philosophers to reconsider mind-matter dualism.
  • Spiritual seekers to embrace awareness as sacred.

Conclusion: This Is Only the Beginning:

This manifesto is not a conclusion.

It is a beginning — an invitation to explore a new paradigm where Consciousness and the Divine are not opposites, but reflections of one another!

Our minds are not accidents — they are signals of meaning!

The Divine Influence on History!

History is often taught as a sequence of accidents, wars, inventions, and chance encounters.
And yet, when we step back and look more deeply, a different pattern emerges — one that suggests a hidden hand, not of control, but of guidance.

From the first spark of fire to the mapping of the stars, from the birth of language to the quest for human rights, the story of humanity reveals a slow but undeniable movement:
A movement toward greater awareness, greater compassion, greater interconnectedness.

This movement has never been smooth.
It has surged forward in brilliant bursts and collapsed in dark ages of suffering.
Empires have risen and fallen, and human folly has again and again delayed our awakening.
And yet, despite everything, the long arc of history bends upward — toward deeper knowledge, toward higher ideals, toward a vision of ourselves as something more than mere survivors.

Is this progression simply the result of random chance?
Or is there something — or Someone — whispering through time, nudging us when we falter, inspiring us when we despair?

The Children of the Divine believe that Consciousness itself is not neutral.
It seeks its own expansion.
It yearns for fuller expression through us, in us, and beyond us.

The great teachers, the artists, the scientists, the dreamers — those who dared to listen to a voice higher than fear — were not anomalies.
They were the advance guard of a larger movement, a calling out of humanity’s deeper potential.

The Divine does not force itself upon us.
It does not erase our freedom or override our choices.
Instead, it plants seeds of possibility — in dreams, in moments of wonder, in the stirring of the heart when faced with beauty, suffering, or awe.

And through countless generations, despite endless setbacks, humanity has slowly answered.
Not perfectly.
Not without mistakes.
But with a resilience that suggests we are not merely drifting through chaos, but are instead being gently called home.

Every revolution of thought, every act of collective courage, every widening of the circle of compassion — these are echoes of the Divine Influence in history.

The question is not whether the Divine is present.
The question is whether we are willing to listen, and to respond.
